DECATUR, Ga. (WXIA) -- Police sources tell 11Alive News that two missing children have been found safe.

The children, 3-year-old Jalen Mattison and 1-year-old Amari Mattison, had been reported missing early Wednesday morning. Their mother, 24-year-old Ashley Mattison, said a man
...more helping her when her car broke down on Interstate 20 near Wesley Chapel Road in DeKalb County had driven off with the children.

Ashley Mattison said that as she made arrangements to have her Volvo towed, the suspect drove away with her children. Police said she did not know the suspect.

A detective source told 11Alive's Paul Crawley that Ashley Mattison had no fixed address, and had been living from hotel to hotel with the children.

A Levi's Call went out from authorities looking for the children, which led to a national alert for the man and his green Jeep Cherokee.

DECATUR, Ga. (WXIA) - The first day of the Hemy Neuman trial is in the books, with widow Andrea Sneiderman the first witness called to the stand.

Sneiderman defiantly insisted there was no affair between she and the man accused of gunning down her husband in November

Sneiderman says though she and Neuman, her direct supervisor at GE Energy, traveled together on business, there was nothing to accusations of an affair between the two of them, though, she said, she was aware that he had feelings for her, and that he had expressed this to her during a Nevada business trip.

Police said Neuman shot Sneiderman's husband, Rusty Sneiderman, to death outside a Dunwoody day care center shortly after Rusty Sneiderman dropped off their young son on November 18, 2010.

ATLANTA (WXIA) - The 2012 edition of the Publix Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon kicks off Sunday, March 18, at 7 a.m. The race course will take some 18,000 runners through parts of Atlanta and Decatur, passing a number of Metro area landmarks.

The 26.2 mile course will pass through
...more the Sweet Auburn District, Inman Park, Decatur, Druid Hills, Virginia Highland and Midtown. The events will include 19 hydration stations with water and Gatorade for runners.

The weekend will also feature the Cuties Luckie 5K and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, March 17. Saturday's races will kick off at 8 a.m. from Centennial Olympic Park, and run through the Luckie Marietta District in Downtown Atlanta.

Starting the weekend is the Publix Georgia Marathon Health & Fitness Expo, being held at the Georgia World Congress Center on Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17.

Before March 14, fees for the Publix Georgia Marathon are $115, and $95 for the Half Marathon. Entries

ATLANTA (WXIA) -- Marietta science fiction author Mitchell Gross pleaded guilty Tuesday to federal wire fraud and money laundering charges.

According to a release from the US Attorney's office, Gross began a romantic relationship with a woman he met through an internet dating service
...more - and claiming he was independantly wealthy and financially secure, convinced the woman to to wire nearly $3 million to an account controlled by Gross.

In a second scheme, the US Attorney said Gross befriended an unmarried couple and represented himself as "successful lawyer and entrepreneur." The release said Gross had been disbarred in 1991 for engaging in "dishonesty, fraud and deceit."

The release said Gross got the couple to pay about $2.2 million in "legal fees" to Gross over the course of 10 years in relation to a supposed lawsuit related to the couple's real estate business. According to the US Attorney, no such lawsuit existed, and the money they paid to Gross

ATHENS, Ga. (WXIA) - A University of Georgia study says states that have abstinence-only sex education programs in their public schools have been found to have significantly teen pregnancy rates than states with more comprehensive programs.

The study, released this week by UGA and
...more published online in the journal PLoS ONE, looked at teen pregnancy rates along with the influence of socioeconomic status, education level, ethnicity, access to Medicaid waivers and sex education methods in public schools.

"Our analysis adds to the overwhelming evidence indicating that abstinence-only education does not reduce teen pregnancy rates," said Kathrin Stanger-Hall, assistant professor of plant biology and biological sciences, in a release.

The study said that even with the factors cited, the correlation between sex education and teen pregnancy was very prominent. The study says states with the lowest teen pregnancy rates were those that prescribed comprehensive

ATLANTA (WXIA) -- The Fulton County Medical Examiner said Tuesday afternoon that autopsy results showed Stacey English's death was an accident.

Her mother had suspected that English had been the victim of foul play.

But the medical examiner's office said there was no
...more evidence of injury or drug overdose. She had "underlying neurlogical and psychiatric disorders" complicated by her exposure to cold, according to the medical examiner's report.

"Because cold exposure is an external, environmental condition, the manner of death has been classified as accident."

English disappeared December 26th. Her decomposed body was found on January 23, near Lakewood Amphitheater -- several miles from her condo on Lenox Road in Buckhead. Her body was found less than a mile from where her Volvo had been found almost a month earlier, with its engine running.

Her father, Tony English, told 11Alive News Tuesday afternoon he was not ready to comment on
