DECATUR, Ga. (WXIA) -- Police sources tell 11Alive News that two missing children have been found safe.

The children, 3-year-old Jalen Mattison and 1-year-old Amari Mattison, had been reported missing early Wednesday morning. Their mother, 24-year-old Ashley Mattison, said a man...more helping her when her car broke down on Interstate 20 near Wesley Chapel Road in DeKalb County had driven off with the children.

Ashley Mattison said that as she made arrangements to have her Volvo towed, the suspect drove away with her children. Police said she did not know the suspect.

A detective source told 11Alive's Paul Crawley that Ashley Mattison had no fixed address, and had been living from hotel to hotel with the children.

A Levi's Call went out from authorities looking for the children, which led to a national alert for the man and his green Jeep Cherokee.

Sneiderman says though she and Neuman, her direct supervisor at GE Energy, traveled together on business, there was nothing to accusations of an affair between the two of them, though, she said, she was aware that he had feelings for her, and that he had expressed this to her during a Nevada business trip.

Police said Neuman shot Sneiderman's husband, Rusty Sneiderman, to death outside a Dunwoody day care center shortly after Rusty Sneiderman dropped off their young son on November 18, 2010.

ATLANTA (WXIA) - The 2012 edition of the Publix Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon kicks off Sunday, March 18, at 7 a.m. The race course will take some 18,000 runners through parts of Atlanta and Decatur, passing a number of Metro area landmarks.

The 26.2 mile course will pass through...more the Sweet Auburn District, Inman Park, Decatur, Druid Hills, Virginia Highland and Midtown. The events will include 19 hydration stations with water and Gatorade for runners.

The weekend will also feature the Cuties Luckie 5K and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, March 17. Saturday's races will kick off at 8 a.m. from Centennial Olympic Park, and run through the Luckie Marietta District in Downtown Atlanta.

Starting the weekend is the Publix Georgia Marathon Health & Fitness Expo, being held at the Georgia World Congress Center on Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17.

Before March 14, fees for the Publix Georgia Marathon are $115, and $95 for the Half Marathon. Entries

DECATUR, Ga. -- Sign-up for the International Dyslexia Association's annual seminar on Technology for Adults and Older Teens with Dyslexia at the Decatur Library. 

The seminar is being held to help remove some of the roadblocks that plague people with dyslexia and to help "remove...more frustrations" for those who want to become digitally efficient with the condition.

Attendees will be welcomed to visit different stations, watch demonstrations and experiment with different technology.

DECATUR, Ga. (WXIA) -- When testimony finally begins Tuesday in the Hemy Neuman murder trial, it'll have the interest of a national audience -- drawn by allegations of a deadly love triangle, and a longshot insanity defense.

The question for jurors won't be whether Hemy Newman...more killed Rusty Schneiderman outside a Dunwoody day care 15 months ago. Newman isn't disputing that. Instead, he's asking jurors to believe he didn't know that the act was wrong -- the cornerstone of his insanity defense.

"Jurors are very, very leery of an insanity defense," said J. Tom Morgan, a former DeKalb district attorney now in private practice.

Others keeping up with the case at the DeKalb County courthouse will include Tru TV, which is providing pool TV coverage of the trial; as well as NBC's Dateline and ABC's 20/20.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- An unidentified man was shot in the back outside a DeKalb nightclub early Monday morning, when a gunman fired into a crowd.

It happened just before 3 a.m. in the parking lot of "Pin Up's" located in the 2000 block of East Ponce de Leon Avenue....more

Witnesses told police there was an altercation of some sort and the suspect went to a vehicle, got a weapon from the trunk and fired into the crowd. The suspect then left the scene.

The wounded man's condition was not available.
