Dwight is known for his more than 20 years in the beauty and fashion business in Atlanta and for his past...more recurring role on the "Real Housewives of Atlanta".
Eubanks is heavily involved in the fashion industry and in the next weeks alone plans to travel to Paris, Italy, and to New York for fashion week. Here in Atlanta he runs two salons and has styled many of Atlanta's fashion elite.

ATLANTA -- The Dove Awards will announce the nominees on Wednesday for its 43rd annual show, which highlights gospel and Christian music.

Grammy-nominated singer Montell Jordan, radio host CoCo Brother, comedian Chondra Pierce and wrestler A.J. Styles will help announce each of the...more 43 categories for the upcoming awards show that will be taped on April 19.

The event returns for the second straight year to Atlanta after previously being held in Nashville, Tenn., for more than four decades. Last year, the show sold-out at the Fox Theatre and had more than 1.5 million viewers of the ceremony, which aired on GMC, formerly known as the Gospel Music Channel.

"Bayou 'n Bourbon" Returns to Marlow's Tavern

Marlow’s Tavern is bringing back its annual salute to Creole cuisine. Starting on Wednesday, February 15, through Monday, March 26, the popular neighborhood tavern is offering a six-week long “Bayou ‘n Bourbon” menu. During this time, all eight locations will feature dishes and...more jazzy cocktails that will transport guests to Bourbon Street.

Fifth Group Restaurants® To Open Lure In July

Robby Kukler, Steve Simon and Kris Reinhard, the three partners behind Fifth Group Restaurants, will open a new seafood restaurant called Lure on Crescent Avenue in Midtown in early July of this year. The restaurant is housed in the space where Vickery’s Crescent Avenue Bar & Grill...more was formerly located.

            Lure’s Midtown location holds a special place in the hearts of the restaurant’s partners. Fifth Group Restaurants’ history began in Midtown with the opening of South City Kitchen on Crescent Avenue 19 years ago, and the company will own the property where Lure stands. Publix Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon coming in March!

ATLANTA (WXIA) - The 2012 edition of the Publix Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon kicks off Sunday, March 18, at 7 a.m. The race course will take some 18,000 runners through parts of Atlanta and Decatur, passing a number of Metro area landmarks.

The 26.2 mile course will pass through...more the Sweet Auburn District, Inman Park, Decatur, Druid Hills, Virginia Highland and Midtown. The events will include 19 hydration stations with water and Gatorade for runners.

The weekend will also feature the Cuties Luckie 5K and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, March 17. Saturday's races will kick off at 8 a.m. from Centennial Olympic Park, and run through the Luckie Marietta District in Downtown Atlanta.

Starting the weekend is the Publix Georgia Marathon Health & Fitness Expo, being held at the Georgia World Congress Center on Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17.

Before March 14, fees for the Publix Georgia Marathon are $115, and $95 for the Half Marathon. Entries

Legally blind friends find missing iPhone when no one else would help

ATLANTA (WXIA) -- This is a story of legally blind woman helping her blind friend find his iPhone when a cab company and police either couldn't or wouldn't help them.

It's a story of the blind leading the blind...literally.

"It's a palm computer that happens to have a radio...more in it, so it's really my computer," Vincent Martin told 11Alive News on Monday.

That's how he describes his iphone that's specially set up to listen and talk to him. It's his lifeline.

Last Friday morning that lifeline vanished.

The former paralympic athlete took a bus to drop off his guide dog, Karson, for some medical tests.

Because he couldn't ride the bus alone, he took a Checker Cab back to the Georgia Tech campus, where he's a grad student in computer science.

Then he panicked.

"Oh, my phone's in the cab," he remembered thinking only a few minutes after the taxi left.

This was my 2nd time meeting Estelle and she was as gracious and personable as ever.  She greeted the small room one-on-one and thanked each of us for being there before playing tracks from the new album.  "All of Me" is her third album and the follow up to her 2008 record, Shine.

This summer voters within the...more ten-county Atlanta metropolitan area will decide whether to fund local and regional transportation projects (from an existing list of projects developed from public input) through a regional transportation referendum.
The City of Atlanta is expected to receive a little over $9.0 million per year for ten years to spend on local projects. The City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office, the Departments of Planning and Community Development and Public Works, in coordination with the Atlanta City Council, are working to develop a rolling five-year list of projects to be funded by the 15-percent local allocation, if the referendum passes in July.

Jackets drop doubles point, but win first four singles matches to clinch

ATLANTA -- Kevin King started a Georgia Tech rally with a straight-set win at No. 1 singles, and the 29th-ranked Yellow Jackets overcame losing the doubles point to defeat Wisconsin, 5-2, Sunday afternoon at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.

ATLANTA --There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We've listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.
The 30th Annual Storytelling Festival is wrapping up in Downtown Decatur on Saturday afternoon. Children's stories will be read at 701...more West Howard Street in Decatur and there will also be workshops for those who want to get into storytelling. Admission to the events range between $9 and $18.

Underground Atlanta will host their Black in Film series on Saturday afternoon. They'll be featuring the documentary, "A Century of Black Cinema". The program starts at 2:00 p.m.

The Alvin Ailey Dance Theater has returned to Atlanta. The dance troupe is under the direction of a new artistic director but will be performing some of their classics. The show is running at the FOX Theater from Thursday to Sunday. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or at Ticketmaster outlets.
