ATLANTA -- More than 20 world-class retail concessions are coming to the new international terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The new shops -- which include Spanx, MAC, Tommy Hilfiger and Kiehl's -- will be located on Concourses E and F, as well as inside the

"We're thrilled to be moving forward with these brands for the international terminal," airport general manager Louis Miller said in a statement. "I'm confident our passengers will enjoy these world-class shopping options as they travel to and from Atlanta."

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- The Fulton County School System hosted its first Faith Summit to forge partnerships between schools and the faith community Wednesday morning.
Leaders of local houses of worship were invited to attend, along with superintendent Robert Avossa, school principals and

"Churches, synagogues, mosques and other houses of worship have a tremendous impact on our families' lives and the success of their community," Avossa said Tuesday, a day before the summit. "The faith community is one of the most valuable resources we have to get people involved, improve education and help students succeed."
Avossa hosted similar programs when he was superintendent of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in North Carolina.

In their continued effort to keep diners safe, the Fulton County Department of Health and Wellness’ Division of Environmental Health Services (EHS) encourages residents to check for posted restaurant inspection scores when dining out.  Residents are also encouraged to report establishments
...more that do not post restaurant inspection reports in visible areas. 
Posted restaurant scores inform diners of the restaurant’s standing at the time of its last inspection.  EHS inspection protocol requires restaurants to be inspected twice a year.  Staff members are trained to conduct risk based inspections based on the latest Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) standardization guidelines. They also are required to obtain additional credentials in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and ServSafe, thereby providing the citizens and visitors to Fulton County with the most up-to-date knowledge in the food service industry.

...more and the proposed use of funds for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG).  
Fulton County proposes that the federal fiscal year 2012 Fulton County Consolidated Plan, Annual Action Plan be amended in accordance with its Citizen Participation Plan and the regulations governing the CDBG, HOME, and ESG programs.  The amendments are available for public review and comment from February 17 through March 18, 2012.   Any comments on the proposed amendments must be received in writing by 5:00 pm March 18, 2012, at the following address:

LOS ANGELES (AP) - The Rev. Jesse Jackson says Don Cornelius showed an unparalleled strength that broke down musical, cultural and racial barriers through his creation of "Soul Train."

Jackson eulogized Cornelius Thursday at a memorial service attended by hundreds of friends, family
...more and even some former "Soul Train" dancers. Jackson says Cornelius' creation provided a platform for talented dancers and musicians and in the process changed the nation.

Speakers included Smokey Robinson and former Lakers star Earvin "Magic" Johnson and others who vowed to carry on Cornelius' legacy.

Cornelius' signature sign-off, "Love, Peace and Soul!" was repeated throughout the service, which ended with clips of Cornelius and others appearing on "Soul Train" being projected on a giant screen.

The 75-year-old died Feb. 1 in Los Angeles from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
