UPDATE: 02/21/12

A couple weeks before Christmas, drivers on M.L.K. Drive in South Atlanta received a terrible surprise when a rain-filled pothole damaged more than a half dozen vehicles. Commuter Dude rushed to the scene and was able to get D.O.T. crews out to fix the hole in about

Christine Sims blew a tire and says at one point, six other drivers pulled off along the side of the road with car damage. When Commuter Dude arrived on scene, A.P.D. hadn't been able to reach D.O.T. crews, so Dude made a call and got the ball rolling. Then he set out to help drivers with

ATLANTA -- R & B star, Estelle, was once again back in Atlanta days before her sold out show at CenterStage tonight.  The Atlantic Records artist gave an exclusive "first listen" of her new album to a small group of press and local music insiders who gathered at Frank Ski's Restaurant in
...more Midtown late Sunday evening.

This was my 2nd time meeting Estelle and she was as gracious and personable as ever.  She greeted the small room one-on-one and thanked each of us for being there before playing tracks from the new album.  "All of Me" is her third album and the follow up to her 2008 record, Shine.

Sidewalks, a streetscape in your community or repaving of nearby streets.  This is a small sample from a comprehensive list of transportation planned projects that our citizens would like to see in their community.  The question remains.  How do we fund them? This summer voters within the

The City of Atlanta is expected to receive a little over $9.0 million per year for ten years to spend on local projects. The City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office, the Departments of Planning and Community Development and Public Works, in coordination with the Atlanta City Council, are working to develop a rolling five-year list of projects to be funded by the 15-percent local allocation, if the referendum passes in July.
