RIVERDALE | Arrest made in mother of two's murder

RIVERDALE, Ga. -- Jonesboro police have arrested Nehemiah Johnson, Jr. and charged him with the murder of a Riverdale mother of two. The body of Rochelle Thomas, 30, was found in a wooded area behind a Jonesboro apartment complex Wednesday.

Jonesboro Police Chief Franklin Allen...more described Johnson as a customer of Thomas'. He said she ran a massage business out of her home but was using it as a sex-for-hire business. Chief Allen said a motive is still under investigation. "It could have possibly involved money, not having money and receiving services," he said. "But we're still unclear on the motive."

Thomas was killed in an apartment at the Harmony Crossroads Apartments on Tara Boulevard sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, said the Chief. Her body was found behind the apartments Wednesday evening. Chief Allen said the cause of death was strangulation.

Johnson has been charged with murder and aggravated assault. He was already in the Clayton

BUFORD, Ga. -- Players of Buford High School's basketball team will wear wrist bands at their Friday night game with the initials of one of their beloved coaches who died Thursday.

Thirty-year-old coach and special education teacher Ryan Daniel collapsed while playing basketball with fellow faculty members before school.

"My coaching staff, they're trained in AED and CPR and they reacted immediately," says Buford High principal Dr. Banks Bitterman.

Daniel's fellow coaches performed CPR and used an Automated External Defribillator but could not revive him. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

Just five years ago, Daniel lost his father to a massive heart attack at age 56. Bitterman said Ryan knew the risk and took good care of himself; in fact, they worked out together just a few nights ago, and Daniel ran for 45 minutes on a

ATLANTA (WXIA) -- Friday night Atlanta police literally had to evacuate a person from Chase Bank in Midtown, after an Occupy Atlanta rally turned heated and confrontational.

The movement, which has evolved nationally into an advocacy for homeowners facing foreclosure, has repeatedly...more targeted banks like Chase for taking away homes from people in financial distress.

"Everybody knows that this was really wrong," said Valerie Pittman, whose mother owned the foreclosed home. "I hope that Chase Bank will look out and hear us today, because we really want our mother's house back."

Shouting "give us the keys back!" the protestors converged on the bank, which had closed early. The dispute began about a mile away at a foreclosed home in the Old Fourth Ward.

"This particular home is worth a hundred-thousand dollars," said family spokesperson Sandra King. "But obviously with the predatory loan, they're charging us $400,000 for the home."

It's feeling much cooler out there compared to the abnormally warm air that we've had for the past few days.  The highest temperature we had Friday was 62 degrees.  However, that wasn't in the afternoon, it was at 12:16am.  The temps in the afternoon held in the mid to upper 50s.  Compare that...more to the 71 degree high we had on Thursday!

Our average high for this time of year is 53 degrees.  We will be getting closer to average for the next few days.  Saturday we will top off at 59.  We will get another cold front passing through in the afternoon hours.  That front will give us a reinforcing shot of colder air.  We will really feel that on Sunday morning.  We will wake up Sunday with temps near 30 in the city, but in the mid to upper 20s outside the city.

We will only have a few clouds mixing in with the sun as the front passes through.  Expect more sun Sunday with a gradual warming trend through the middle of the week.  Our next chance for showers will be late
